Salmon Marinades: Balsamic, Bourbon, Balsamic Strawberries

Salmon: marinated in 4 tablespoons brown sugar, 4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice; 2 tbsp good bourbon, 1 clove garlic minced.

2nd marinade: 3 tbsp. olive oil, 2 tablespoons EACH soy sauce, balsalmic vinegar, sugar and 1 tbsp chopped onion, 1 clove minced garlic, and 1/2 teaspoon ginger.

Marinate it for up to eight hours (or 30 minutes, whichever) and broil skin-side down for about 8 minutes or until fish flakes a bit with a fork.

  1. mm, that bourbon marinade sounds really good.. I might have to try that. Which marinade did you prefer?

  2. I liked yours better. But...I think the bourbon marinade really needs a few hours to sit and we were too hungry to wait! John liked the bourbon one better.
