Georgia Peach Cobbler

Fresh peaches from Lane Packing (in Fort Valley) made delicious peach cobbler and peach ice cream.

Peach Cobbler (recipe)

    GA Peach Cobbler

    2 cups fresh sliced peaches (more is better!)
    2 cups sugar (Separated)
    ½ cup butter (1 stick)
    ¾ cup self rising flour (do NOT substitute, it will not work)
    ¾ cup milk

    Mix Peeled sliced peaches w/1 cup sugar.
    Melt butter in deep baking dish
    Mix together 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, and pour into melted butter in the baking dish. Do NOT stir!
    Top with fresh peaches (they will sink)
    Bake at 350 for an hour.
